Find Your Perfect Smile: Dental Implants – Fort Worth, TX

Missing a tooth isn’t just about appearance; it can also affect how you eat, speak, and feel about yourself. Dental implants are a natural-looking, long-term solution that helps bring back that beautiful smile! At Rio Dental & Orthodontics, we’re here to help people achieve confident, radiant smiles with dental implants.

Why Choose Dental Implants?

In Fort Worth, TX, dental implants can be a go-to solution for replacing missing teeth because they look and feel just like natural teeth. Unlike dentures or a fixed bridge, which can move around, implants stay put! Here’s what makes them a great choice:

  • Natural Look and Feel: Implants mimic your natural teeth, blending seamlessly with your smile.

  • Long-Term Solution: With proper care, implants can last over 15 years, making them a cost-effective option.

  • Secure and Reliable: They attach to your jawbone, just like your original tooth roots would, so they are stable and won’t slip.

By choosing dental implants, you invest in your oral health and self-confidence.

Dental Implants vs. Other Tooth Loss Replacement Options

  • Dentures: Resting on the gums, dentures may require adjustments over time and don’t offer the same stability as dental implants.

  • Fixed Bridges: Bridges rely on neighboring teeth for support, which can sometimes weaken those teeth. Implants, however, stand-alone and don’t impact the surrounding teeth.

  • Dental Implants: Dental implants are a cost-effective, permanent solution, providing a stable and comfortable experience that’s hard to beat!

The Dental Implant Process – What to Expect

Getting dental implants is an easy journey with Rio Dental & Orthodontics by your side. Here’s a quick guide on what happens before, during, and after the implant procedure.

Step 1: Consultation and Planning

Before any procedure, you’ll meet with our friendly implant dentist. They’ll examine your mouth, discuss your needs, and create a personalized treatment plan that ensures a perfect fit. This consultation is a great chance to ask questions and understand exactly how your implant will look and feel.

Step 2: Implant Placement (The Dental Implant Surgery)

Now for the exciting part – placing the implant post! This surgical procedure involves inserting the implant post, a small titanium piece, directly into your jawbone. This step forms the solid foundation needed to support your new tooth, acting just like a natural tooth root.

This process may sound intense. However, our experienced team keeps you comfortable, and most patients feel only mild discomfort after this oral surgery.

Step 3: Healing and Bonding

After the implant placement, your jawbone begins to bond naturally with the implant. This bonding process, called osseointegration, is what makes dental implants such a reliable tooth replacement option. In just a few months, the implant becomes part of your jaw, providing a secure base that will hold up just like your original teeth did.

Step 4: Placing the Dental Crown

Once healed, we’ll attach a dental crown crafted to match your other teeth. This crown fits perfectly over the implant post and completes your new smile! The result? A smile so seamless and natural, even you’ll forget it’s not the real deal!

Aftercare for Your Dental Implants

Caring for your new dental implants is a breeze and keeps your smile shining! Just treat them like your natural teeth—brush and floss regularly to prevent plaque and keep your gums healthy. During the initial healing phase, avoid hard or sticky foods that might put extra stress on your new tooth.

And don’t forget those routine checkups at Rio Dental & Orthodontics! We’ll help you keep an eye on your implants and answer any questions, ensuring your smile stays picture-perfect.

What Our Patients Say

Patient Info

  • Your Child's First Visit
  • Baby's First Appointment
  • Appointment Scheduling
  • Insurance
  • Finances
  • CareCredit

You can play a part in preparing your child for his or her first visit to our office. Informing your child of the visit as an exciting experience for both of you can ease any hesitations. As a parent try to act relaxed, since your child may sense any anxiety on your part.

Explain to your child that the doctor will “count, brush, and maybe take pictures of their teeth”. We also ask that you assume the role of a silent observer. Cooperation and trust must be established directly between the doctor, staff, and your child and not through you. Your child may become confused if receiving instructions from multiple sources.

We recommend bringing your baby in for their first dental appointment by their first birthday, or within 6 months of their first tooth appearing (whichever comes first). During this appointment, we will examine your baby’s mouth to track their dental development and discuss age-appropriate dental care.

It’s easy to make appointments to visit our office online or over the phone. Rio Dental sees patients both for checkups and dental emergencies. Using our online scheduler, you can select the location and time slot that works best for you for either type of appointment. If you have any questions regarding our practice, or simply prefer to make your appointment with a live member of staff, please don’t hesitate to call!

Rio Dental Group accepts most PPO insurances. We recommend that new patients and returning patients with new insurance policies reach out to us before their appointment to confirm coverage. Our Fort Worth location also sees patients who are covered by Medicaid and CHIP programs.

We don’t like surprises, either! Our staff is prepared to discuss the cost of dental services before you undergo treatment so that you know what to expect in terms of fees. The cost of your services will be due at the end of your appointment. Our office accepts payment by cash, credit card, or check.

Rio Dental Group allows patients to pay with their CareCredit card. CareCredit is a healthcare credit card designed to cover out-of-pocket costs at over 225,000 providers nationwide. After leaving the office, card holders will be able to make convenient monthly payments towards their balance. To learn more, visit the CareCredit website.
